Why D33?

D33 was created with a clear mission: to make daily nutrition for dogs simple, transparent, and enjoyable. We wanted to build something easy for owners to feed and something dogs would look forward to eating - no capsules to disguise, no tricks required.

We saw a gap in the pet nutrition space: while human nutrition has moved forward with whole food approaches, pet products often remain harder to understand. Drawing inspiration from the latest research, we set out to create a blend of 33 carefully selected whole food ingredients - designed to complement regular meals and add natural variety.

We believe whole foods offer unique advantages, providing nutrients in their natural form. That’s why D33 is built around real ingredients, not synthetics. Our approach is informed by emerging evidence and the guidance of veterinarians, nutritionists, and researchers around the world.

D33 is the result: a modern, whole-food supplement for dogs, created with transparency, simplicity, and wellbeing at its heart.

Why Whole Foods?

D33 is built on the principles of whole food nutrition, with a focus on minimally processed, natural ingredients - usually in powdered form - that provide vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds for dogs.

Whole foods deliver nutrients in their natural state, often alongside co-factors that work together as part of a balanced diet. We believe this makes them a valuable complement to regular feeding.

The blend includes a variety of superfoods - ingredients naturally rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and healthy fats. By bringing these together, D33 offers a convenient way to add variety and broaden the nutritional profile of your dog’s meals.

Our philosophy is simple: focus on whole, natural ingredients and reduce unnecessary additives, with the aim of supporting everyday wellbeing through good nutrition.

Our Philosophy - Be Simple. Be Effective.

Inspired by global research and nutritional science, we created D33 as a simple, whole-food supplement at its core. From the very beginning, our focus has been on 33 carefully chosen ingredients, and we continue to refine and improve as new insights emerge.

Our aim was to make daily nutrition straightforward - a routine that adds balance and variety for dogs at every stage of life. D33 isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about building long-term habits around whole-food nutrition.

As D33 evolves, we’ll continue to share our latest learnings and improvements, keeping transparency and progress at the heart of what we do.

We're committed to quality and sustainability

At D33, we’re committed to sourcing ingredients and manufacturing to the highest standards. All of our suppliers are carefully evaluated for food safety and traceability, working with BRC and FSSC 22000 certified facilities to ensure consistent quality.

We use only single, whole ingredients - no fillers, no additives, nothing artificial. Just clean nutrition in its simplest form.

Every ingredient is chosen with care, from nutritional value to taste, texture, and appearance. And we’re always exploring new options to refine our blend, so that D33 continues to deliver on quality and transparency.

We believe whole, species appropriate nutrition is a right every dog deserves

Dogs don’t get to choose their diet in the same way we do, which is why what we give them matters. Alongside clean drinking water, we believe dogs benefit from variety and natural ingredients in their meals.

That means avoiding unnecessary additives, preservatives, and artificial flavours, and instead focusing on whole foods that provide real nutritional value. Our philosophy is simple: good food contributes to good health.

At D33, we take a preventative approach by adding nutrient-rich whole foods that complement a dog’s regular diet - always aiming for balance, quality, and transparency.

  • Whole Foods vs. Synthetic and Processed Alternatives

Conventional dog foods (especially kibble) rely on synthetic vitamins and minerals to meet “complete and balanced” nutrient requirements. This is largely because the intense processing of pet food - high pressure cooking, extrusion, and long shelf storage—destroys many natural nutrients, necessitating that they be added back in artificially.

  • Bioavailability and Absorption Advantages

Emerging evidence suggests that nutrients from whole foods can be more bioavailable and gentler on the body’s metabolism than synthetic forms. One reason is that in whole foods, vitamins and minerals
are accompanied by natural co-factors (other vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc.) that facilitate their digestion and assimilation.

  • Evidence & Studies

A growing body of independent research (much of it outside of large pet food industry funding) is exploring the benefits of specific whole-food ingredients for dogs & we aim to bring that evidence to the industry and our customers as it is made available.
